In 2024, after conducting a feasibility study, AEFKC launched the Pilot Phase of TeenTix KC. The TeenTix program, created 20 years ago in Seattle, offers a free, downloadable pass to ANY teen (13-19 years old). The TeenTix KC pass allows teens to purchase $5 day-of-show tickets to any participating arts organization in the KC metropolitan area.

AEFKC will collaborate with Community Partners (Band of Angels, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas City, Blue Vallery North High School, Chicano Center for the Arts, Girls on the run, Grain Valley, Grandview, Harmony Project KC, Heartland, Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey, Kansas City Public Schools, LINC, Mattie Rhodes Center, Park University and Theatre of Imagination) to introduce teens to the TeenTix KC pass program and encourage their engagement in the TeenTix KC arts education and arts advocacy/leadership programs through the following Arts Partners: The American Theatre Guild, The Coterie Theatre, Folly Theater, Heart of America Shakespeare Festival, Kansas City Actors Theatre, Kansas City Ballet, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Lyric Opera KC, Midwest Trust Center of JCCC, Owen/Cox Dance Group, Spinning Tree Theatre, The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, UMKC and the Unicorn Theatre.

The Press Corps and The New Guard programs actively engage teens in critiquing/reviewing arts experiences and advocating for the arts in the community. KC Studio will utilize its expert writers to train the teens in the art of reviewing and together form a powerful group of Arts Ambassadors. TeenTix KC successfully launched city-wide in January 2025 to an overwhelming response of teens downloading the pass.
